Watch my friend's queer short film, Violet Nights

My friend Sam has just released his latest queer short film, Violet Nights.

We watch as the trans protagonist overhears her Uber driver listening to a reactionary right-wing transphobic podcast. It's uncomfortable from start to finish, and lead Jenet Le Lacheur does an amazing job at representing the fear, anxiety and feeling of exposure that is so familiar to people from marginalised communities.

The majority of the film features extreme language about trans people, so consider this a trigger warning if that might be difficult for you.

I love celebrating queer art, especially from my home city of Manchester - so let me know what else I should be checking out.
